I cannot remember if I was uing the adaptive power setting on my 1060 (I did a fresh install when I got the 1080TI), but I am around 90% positive I was, as I was testing that setting when I had the 1060 for other games I was having issues with, but cannot fully recall if I ended up leaving it on. Go into the nvidia control panel, 3D settings, Power management mode -> change this setting to adaptive (will run the card at 3d clocks a little more often) or Maximum performance (I belive this keeps the card from going to 2d clocks). I was runing the 1080TI with all the same settings, and I was having horrible frame stutter, low fps, etc. The game was running perfect on the 1060 with all settings at ultra except for shadows:medium, textures:medium, effect:very low. However, if internet voices are to be believed, then disabling the feature certainly seems to magically cure a lot of the problems out there.Context: I just upgraded from a 1060 6GB to a 1080TI. To restore MPO in case you encounter any issues after this, simply delete the OverlayTestMode DWORD you created.
